Apochromatic objectives have the highest level of corrections and are corrected chromatically for three colors (red, green, and blue), eliminating chromatic aberration. This makes them the best choice for photomicrography. A high level of correction also enables this objective to have up to 2X higher resolving power compared to ordinary (achromat) microscope objectives.
